Questions
What can I build here?

A starting five drawn from the league's own history, played through a full season and its playoffs. The daily board deals one shared five to everybody; the other modes deal fresh eras, hide the numbers, or hand you a budget.

Which players are in the pool?

Careers from across the league's history, from its founding seasons to the current one. Each card is a real season with the numbers that season posted — never a rating and never a projection.

Are these compared against the NBA?

No, and that is deliberate. The WNBA has a shorter season and its own record book, so every card here is measured against WNBA seasons. Comparing across leagues would flatter one and bury the other while telling you nothing.

Why only five seats?

Because rosters are small and the starting five decides games. It makes every pick heavier than it would be in a twelve-seat draft — there is nowhere to hide a luxury selection.

What is the daily WNBA board?

One shared five, live for the calendar day, identical worldwide. Draft it, let the season run, and your record lands on that day's table.

How are the early years handled?

On their own terms. The league's founding seasons were played at a different pace with different rules, so those careers are rated against that era rather than against the modern game they helped create.

How many WNBA teams can you draft from?

All 24 franchises on the board, each split into its real seasons. The league's history is shorter than the others here, so the eras sit closer together and a spin lands on a roster most fans can actually place.

Can one team mix players from different eras?

Yes. A roster can pair an early-2000s guard with a current forward, because each seat is filled from the era spun rather than from one season.

What makes a good WNBA roster here?

With a short roster every seat carries weight, so taking the strongest available player usually beats forcing a positional fit. The pool is WNBA-only, so nothing is borrowed from another league to pad it.

Do you need to follow the current WNBA to play?

No. The archive covers the league from 1997 onward, so the middle years are as likely to come up as last season, and knowing them is a real edge.

What honours are recorded on a WNBA card?

All-WNBA Team, WNBA Most Valuable Player, WNBA 25th Anniversary Team and the rest the league keeps. A short history means the honour list is small enough that appearing on it is genuinely rare.

How deep is the WNBA pool?

The league's whole history, from 1997. 213 figures hold hall-of-fame membership, which against a league this young is a high share of everyone who played it well.
